Yumi from 'Born to Shine' to have grand fan meet, album
Yumi from “Born to Shine” is slowly turning into a legit girl group!
According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the fictional girl group has some exciting things in store for fans, or Yu-Mates.
“Parang grand fan meet talaga—wow—na official for our Kapuso and sa mga Yu-Mates na nanonood talaga ng ‘Born to Shine,’ soon this July,” Zephanie said.
“And meron din kaming album na i-re-release. ‘Yung volume 2 on official soundtracks ng ‘Born to Shine,’” she added.
Zephanie also realized through their training the challenges of being a P-Pop idol.
“Dun namin na-realize kung gaano rin ka-hardworking talaga 'yung mga P-Pop artists natin kasi it’s not easy singing and dancing sa buong kanta,” she said.
Olive May said she also asked the girls if they want Yumi to be an official girl group, and they are open to the idea.
“Kailangan talaga committed tayo if ever magiging real man, kasi grabe ‘yan, dapat training kayo kasi ang dami nang P-Pop dito sa Pilipinas,” Olive said.
“We feel like it’s fun to actually explore that field pero alam din namin ‘yung challenges. So I think pwede naman po,” Zephanie added.
Zephanie previously said on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that they see the public clamor to turn Yumi into a real group.
“I think it’s a big dream for us na magka-totoo talaga and kung mabibigyan ng chance, parang gusto po talaga naming Yumi in real life,” Zephanie said.
“Born to Shine” airs on GMA Afternoon Prime on Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. —Nika Roque/CDC, GMA News
