BGYO talks about love ban in idol groups, says they want to focus on work

BGYO talked about the rumored love ban mandated in idol groups.

On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Monday, Akira said the love ban is more of a reminder for them to focus on their work.

"Sinabi po sa 'min na 'yung love ban is for us to focus po dun po sa work po talaga namin," he said.

Akira also said that there was a time when they did have a love ban.

"Twenty-five na po kami, matatanda na rin naman po. Pero mas pinipili po namin mag-focus po sa work namin kasi mas gusto po namin mag-success ang BGYO po kasi," he said.

Previously, Jeromy of HORI7ON told Tito Boy that the love ban is included in their contract.

BGYO held their first major concert in 2025. They released their latest EP "On Demand" in June.

The Aces of P-Pop recently appeared on the GMA Afternoon Prime series, "Born to Shine."

Meanwhile, JL is a judge on "The Clash Teens," which airs Sundays at 7:15 p.m. after "Bubble Gang."

BGYO is composed of give members: Akira, JL, Gelo, Nate, and Mikki. Among their songs include "Fresh," "Tumitigil Ang Mundo," and "All These Ladies." —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
