Kyline Alcantara reacts to dating rumors with Sam Verzosa: 'Nagulat po ako'

Kyline Alcantara addressed rumors linking her romantically to Sam Verzosa.

On “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” Friday, Kyline said she was aware of the online buzz through social media.

"'Siyempre po. Nakikita ko siya sa social media," she said.

Asked about her reaction, Kyline admitted she was caught off guard and revealed she and Sam had already talked about the issue.

"Nagulat po ako. Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Sam, napag-usapan na namin 'yon, 'yung kung ano ang nangyayari sa social media. And natawa na lang din po ako. Kasi bakit ganon?" she said.

According to the actress, people were quick to assume they were dating simply because they were seen together.

"Para sa akin po, 'yung mga tao talaga, porke't may nakita silang kasama whether mapababae o lalaki, they assume immediately that they are together na," she added.

Kyline clarified she did not attend the dinner event as Sam's guest, explaining she was invited by celebrity doctors Aivee and Z Teo.

"May dinner event po siya and ininvite ako nila Doc Aivee and Doc Z Teo to be there. So it wasn't really actually him who invited me, it was Doc Z and Doc Aivee who invited me so I'm just their plus one," she said.

The actress emphasized she is in good terms with both Sam and his former partner, Rhian Ramos.

"I'm super OK with Ate Rhian Ramos, I'm super OK with Sam. So nagulat lang din naman po ako na ganoon yung ano ng mga tao," she said.

In a June “Fast Talk” interview, Sam addressed the dating rumors, clarifying he and Kyline are just friends.

According to Sam, they know each other and are friends, but do not go on dates.

“Manila’s so small. There are certain events. May picture lang diyan, social media, they will speculate, chismis, it’s very unfair for them,” he said.

“Kaya ako, when I saw Kyline after makita ko ‘yung mga social media posts, mga fake news, sabi ko, ‘I’m sorry Ky ah.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, wala ‘yun.'"

“Mabuting tao si Kyline and it’s very unfair for her. Kung sino man ang dine-date niya, it’s very unfair. So sabi ko, I’m really sorry," he added.

Sam was previously in a relationship with Rhian Ramos.

In March, Rhian confirmed their breakup on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” saying they had been separated since October 2025. She also said that Wil Dasovich had nothing to do with the breakup.

Rhian and Sam confirmed their relationship at the GMA Gala 2022. In August 2025, they celebrated their fourth anniversary.

In December 2025, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Kyline was in a relationship with Kobe Paras in 2024. They broke up in 2025.
