Dennis Trillo says Miguel Tanfelix could reprise his ‘My Husband’s Lover’ role

Dennis Trillo believes Miguel Tanfelix has what it takes to portray one of his most memorable television roles.

In an interview with GMA News Online, Dennis said Miguel is his top pick when asked which fellow Kapuso actor could give new life to a role he previously played.

“‘My Husband’s Lover,’ I think Miguel Tanfelix could pull that off. He's a serious actor, that kid,” the Kapuso Drama King said in Filipino.

According to Dennis, he has seen Miguel grow through the years, having first worked with him on “Mulawin” when the younger actor was still a child.

"We first worked together on 'Mulawin' when he was still very young, and I've seen how much he's grown as an actor. So I feel he can transform into that role. The last time we worked together was on 'Voltes V,'" he shared.

My Husband's Lover” aired in 2013 and starred Dennis, Tom Rodriguez, and Carla Abellana. It followed the story of a married man who secretly rekindles his romance with his former lover while struggling to keep his sexuality hidden from his wife.

Dennis gave life to Eric del Mundo, an openly gay landscape artist.

Meanwhile, Dennis renewed his contract with GMA Network on Tuesday.

He is set to star in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Amir” and in the series “Hari ng Tondo," which also stars Ruru Madrid.
