'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda' to cross over in 'Born to Shine'

A showbiz icon is set to have a crossover in “Born to Shine!”

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" on Friday, Boy Abunda will make a special guest appearance in the GMA Afternoon Prime series.

The King of Talk will portray himself as he interviews Jeni Sicat, the character played by Zephanie, in a scene filmed on the set of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."

“It was delightful. There was a moment during the interview when I almost said, ‘You know, Zeph,' and I stopped myself. It’s fun, it's really fun," Tito Boy said in Filipino.

“Actually, it felt a bit weird doing this on 'Fast Talk' because when you’re on 'Fast Talk,' you automatically want to be your true self. You want to be Zephanie. But I’m not Zephanie right now. I’m Jeni," Zephanie said in Filipino.

Aside from Tito Boy’s guesting in the series, Zephanie is also thankful to the TV host for giving them some clothes.

“We’re just really grateful because he gave us some clothes, one of the costumes we wore in 'Born to Shine.' So thank you, Tito Boy. We really, really love Tito Boy," she added.

Meanwhile, Tito Boy revealed that he is a follower of “Born to Shine.”

“I love watching 'Born to Shine,' so it’s fitting that we’re making a guest appearance on the show. Watch out for it. It’s an award-winning performance. We had a wonderful time appearing on 'Born to Shine.”

“Born to Shine” airs on GMA Afternoon Prime on Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.
