Heart Evangelista reminds viral stars to stay grounded, remember their roots
Heart Evangelista reminded netizens to be discerning about the people they choose to look up to on social media, saying that what appears online does not show the entire picture of a person.
In the latest episode of "Your Honor," the Global Fashion Icon said that if someone seems "too good to be true, most of the time, it's not true."
She also pointed out that people who appear to be kind may not necessarily act the same way in person.
"Usually, the people you think are the ones who are constantly trying to be one with everyone are actually the real bullies because they're not like that in person," she said in Filipino.
Heart also said that one's success should never be an excuse to lose sight of where they came from.
"No matter how successful you are, learn to look back at where you came from," she said. "Stay humble and keep both feet on the ground."
"I don't care if you're viral right now," she added. "Don't let it get to your head. Be kind to everyone. Don't be a bully."
Heart recently renewed her contract with Sparkle.
She currently hosts the Kapuso game show "People Have Spoken" with Sean Lucas.
Meanwhile, the second season of her reality show "Heart World" premiered this year. —Hermes Joy Tunac/MGP, GMA News
