Will Ashley's debut single 'Paborito' reaches no. 1 on iTunes Philippines

Will Ashley is happy that his debut single "Paborito" reached number one on the iTunes Philippines chart.

In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" on Monday, the Nation's Son said he wrote the song in 2025 after his stint in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."

"I wrote this song for the people I love. For the people who have their own favorite person in their life, favorite things," he said in Filipino.

Will also said that many will relate to the lyrics.

"It's very Gen Z. It's like the usual words being said by people my age to the people they love," he said.

Will added that his fellow PBB alum, Mika Salamanca, is one of his inspirations for the song.

"Mika is a huge factor because we spent so much time inside the house. Then after that in 'Hotel 88,' we had a lock-in. So we've been through a lot in the one year that has passed," he said.

Will is set for his first-ever album launch on September 20 at Skydome, SM North Edsa in Quezon City.

He will star in the comedy series, "Delivery Boi." Joining him are Mika, Vince Maristela, Mikoy Morales, and Gio Alvarez.

Will is also part of the upcoming GMA Pictures film "Amir," which also stars Dennis Trillo, Argus Aspiras, and Glaiza De Castro. It is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Zig Dulay and is one of the entries to the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
