Ashley Rivera, Baus Rufo, DJ Jhai Ho team up for new GTV talk show 'Kalurks!'

Get ready for a new Sunday show for trending issues, viral stories, and showbiz happenings as Ashley Rivera, Baus Rufo, and DJ Jhai Ho join forces for GTV’s newest talk show, “Kalurks!”

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report in “24 Oras” on Friday, “Kalurks” aims to become the go-to show for certified “marites” and “lurkers,” with the three hosts discussing the week’s most talked-about stories across social media, showbiz, politics, and beyond.

Ashley, known as the OG Viral Queen, said the show will offer a fun and lively space for conversations about trending topics.

“‘Kalurks!’ will be the new Sunday destination for chikahan and chismisan. We’ll talk about everything that has trended on social media, politics, and, of course, showbiz happenings,” Ashley said in FIlipino.

And as Baus expressed his excitement for the new show, he also admitted to feeling nervous about "Kalurks!" because it will air live.

“The most nerve-wracking part of all is that it’s live. So I have to know what I’m going to say,” he joked.

If you'll recall, Baus made his mark in June when he debuted on morning show "Unang Hirit," accidentally saying "mga Kapamilya" instead of "mga Kapuso" during a live broadcast.

For DJ Jhai Ho, the first-time collaboration is extra exciting as each host brings their personality and unique perspective to the table.

“It’s exciting because we each have different perspectives and different personalities. So I’m super-duper excited because I’m sure all the marites and lurkers out there will enjoy this,” he said.

Aside from trending stories, viewers can also look forward to blind items that will go beyond the world of showbiz.

“I’m sure they’re excited about our blind items. And it’s not just about celebrities. We can talk about all kinds of famous personalities in the world of social media, even politics. Baus can definitely handle that,” DJ Jhai Ho said.

Baus added that the hosts will dissect stories that have sparked different reactions among the public.

“The things that really made us think, laugh, or even get a little angry — that’s what we’ll investigate every Sunday,” he said.

“No one is safe here on ‘Kalurks!’ Everyone is a suspect,” Ashley added.
