Joy Barcoma, Migs Almendras get stuck in NLEX traffic as Habagat floods continue

A few celebrities were stuck in traffic on the North Luzon Expressway as flooding continues due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Sparkle artist Migs Almendras was forced to walk along the road. He also posted a photo of the long line of cars, as well as the flood at a gas station.

Joy Barcoma, meanwhile, said on Facebook that her supposed 15-minute drive lasted for five hours.

Celebrities also expressed their thoughts on the flooding.

"How are those who stole for the flood control projects?" Dennis Trillo said on Facebook with the hashtag, #NeverForget.

"It's Showtime" host Kim Chiu asked where the people's money had gone and called on public officials that they should be first to help out, take action, and take accountability.

Previously, celebrities such as Vince Maristela, Pokwang, Betong, and Jon Lucas, documented their experiences during the inclement weather.

Traffic remained heavy along parts of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Tuesday morning amid the flooding in San Simon, Pampanga.

According to a report by GMA News' James Agustin on Unang Balita, NLEX management began diverting northbound vehicles at the Santa Rita Exit at 10:40 p.m. on Monday.

This was to prevent them from proceeding toward San Simon due to flooding caused by the overflowing Pampanga River. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
