Baron Geisler, UP students move on from fight, continue with project
Less than a week after a video of Baron Geisler assaulting a student in a shoot on campus grounds went viral, a reconciliation has occurred between the aggrieved parties.
Khalil Verzosa, who posted the video that went viral on May 15, said he and Geisler spoke on the phone and "resolved the issue" between themselves.
Verzosa said he wants to focus on passing his Editorial Design Class requirement, for which he hired Geisler to be a "male advocate" against catcalling and other forms of harassment inflicted on women.
"Baron believes in this, we talked about it, violence comes in all forms, specially most of the time, street harassment, its a constant toil for women to experience them every week," Verzosa wrote.
He added that Geisler has received more than enough negative publicity and, out of respect, he has taken the video down, "I also want to ask everyone to stop sharing the video. We just want to put this issue behind us. Peace!"
Geisler, who was tagged in the post, left a comment saying, "Salamat man!! Nakapagisip-isip din ako. Yakap!!"
He had earlier appealed for understanding from people and told people doubting the authenticity of the video, "How I wish na social experiment nga lang ito. No comment muna. Kakausapin ko 'yung manager ko. I will fix things." — RSJ, GMA News
