Maine Mendoza unveiled as new endorser for canned food line

Phenomenal Kapuso merry-maker Maine Mendoza was on Tuesday presented as the new endorser of the Fly Ace Corporation' canned food line JOLLY.

According to Fly Ace, they chose GMA’s Dubsmash and Kalyeserye Queen to be their celebrity endorser because of her bubbly personality, passion for food, and her love of her family.

“When we were looking for the next celebrity ambassador for JOLLY, we wanted to make sure that her personality matched the brand’s personality, which, well, a jolly person,” AVP for Marketing Abigail Ng-Reyes explained.

“We also wanted an endorser to be familiar with the kitchen, kasi JOLLY is being used in kitchens all over the Philippines."

The company also believed that Maine could help them connect with younger consumers and inspire young cooks.

“Not only do we celebrate our 20th year with Maine as our brand endorser, we know that we share common values," Abigail added.

Maine, who just “really, really loves mushrooms”, lived for cooking and would always prepare “something sweet," even if she found herself cooking for her worst online bashers.

Maine brushed off the notion of being the "endorsement queen" given the spike in her advertisement offers.

"Ako kasi, purposely, hindi ko siya binibilang. Pero syempre, natutuwa na ang dami ko na rin palang nae-endorse, ang daming brands na nagtitiwala sa akin," she added.
