Seo Ye Ji says Kim Soo Hyun is 'the best partner' she's had in a K-drama

Korean stars Seo Ye Ji and Kim Soo Hyun headline new K-drama series "It's Okay To Not Be Okay," which just dropped on Netflix on Saturday evening.

In a virtual press conference of which GMA News Online was a part, Seo Ye Ji (Ko Mun Yeong) described Kim Soo Hyun (Moon Gang Tae) as the "best partner" she's had.

"I would say that from my very first day, he has been very considerate of me so I feel like our chemistry started off and continues to be quite good," Ye Ji said.

"I think I would even go as far as to say he's probably the best partner that I've had," she continued.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun admitted there was "a sense of awkwardness and difficulty" between the two of them at first, but they eventually grew closer after spending more time together.

"We have a quite comfortable chemistry between us now and so I hope that you can enjoy our chemistry on screen as well," Soo Hyun said.

The two Korean co-stars said the most memorable scene they've had was when they had to do the "Butterfly Hug Method."

"There's a scene where I teach the Butterfly Hug Method to Mun-yeong.  It was the first scene where we have to be extremely close to one another. I was shaking and nervous. I think you'll be able to see it on the broadcast," Soo Hyun shared.

Ye Ji agreed and said it was the most memorable scene they have had.

"It's Okay To Not Be Okay" is Kim Soo Hyun's first drama since his discharge from the military in July 2019. Before starting mandatory military service in October 2017, he did "The Producers" in 2015.

Kim Soo Hyun is popularly known for his character in K-drama series "My Love From The Star," which had a Philippine adaptation on GMA-7.

Months before his comeback, Kim Soo Hyun had cameo appearances in hit K-drama series "Hotel del Luna," and "Crash Landing On You."

Meanwhile, Ye Ji has also appeared in several Korean including "Lawless Lawyer," and "Save Me."

"It's Okay To Not Be Okay" premiered on Netflix on June 20 with two episodes to be released each week every Saturday and Sunday.  — LA, GMA News
