BTS locks out top 2 spots on Billboard Hot 100

BTS continued to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 for the third straight week, claiming not just No. 1 but the two top-most spots on the chart.

As of October 17, “Savage Love (Laxed Siren Beat),” a collaboration by Jason Derulo, Jawsh 685 and BTS, was at No. 1, bumping the K-pop group’s mega-hit “Dynamite” to No. 2.

Completing the Top 5 were Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” followed by 24kGoldn and iann dior’s “Mood,” Drake and Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now Cry Kater.

“Savage Love (Laxed Siren Beat)” becomes the second Hot 100 No. 1 each for Derulo and BTS, and the first for New Zealand singer Jawsh 685.

BTS, composed of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, released “Dynamite” last August with a music video that shattered a record for the largest premiere in Youtube history.

Believe it or not, their hit English single is only the K-pop sensation’s first-ever track to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
