PBA: Balkman issues apology on Twitter
(Updated 12:21am) Petron Blaze Boosters import Renaldo Balkman issued an apology for his actions earlier Friday evening, which included shoving away Ronald Tubid and choking Arwind Santos in a fit of rage after not getting a call, late in his team's loss to the Alaska Aces.

Balkman kept it simple, saying, "I wld like to apologize to the fans, Petron Blaze, my teammates, the PBA and especially @tubidronald71 and @Arwind029. "I got caught up in the moment of a very intense game. I respect @Arwind029 as a person & player. He also later added that choking Santos was "unintentional," and described himelf as a "team player who always has the best interest of the team at hear." [Related: Balkman goes bonkers as Alaska downs Petron] Despite the apology however, Balkman will be summoned to the office of PBA Commissioner Chito Salud on Monday, according to PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial, where the league will decide how to discipline the former NBA first round draft pick.
