As the Commissioner's Cup reaches its half way mark, Talk 'N Text has made a move to change its import from Richard Howell to Ivan Johnson, an NBA veteran with a reputation of having a short fuse.

Tropang Texters floor general Jayson Castro, however, welcomes Johnson's aggressive attitude after the reinforcement made his debut in their huge 98-96 victory over NLEX on Friday.

"'Yun ang maganda sa amin ngayon kasi before wala kaming parang bad boy," said the point guard. "Lahat kami parang pretty boy na naglalaro kapag pinisikal kami. Walang nag-re-retaliate."

"This time 'yung import namin talagang gustong manalo," added the game hero, who scored the winning basket with a long two in transition as the clocked ticked away.

Johnson had a solid game for Talk 'N Text with 32 points and 10 rebounds, drawing 13 fouls and committing five in his 34 minutes on the court.

The former Atlanta Hawks player had a taste of the famous PBA physicality during the game, but controlled his temper with the help of his teammates.

"Sabi niya na 'you always remind me na 'yun nga, 'yung temper ko.' Sinasabihan naman namin," Castro said. —JST, GMA News
