June Mar Fajardo not suiting up for Beermen in Game 1 

San Miguel Beer center June Mar Fajardo is out for Game One of the PBA Smart-Bro Philippine Cup finals against the Alaska Aces.

 

Fajardo hurt his knee in Game Six of the semifinals series against Rain or Shine after Jireh Ibanes boxed him out for a rebound play in the third quarter.

 

The 6-foot-10 slotman did not come out for the player call-out before the series opener, opting to rest his knee instead of suiting up for his team.

 

Veteran big man Yancy De Ocampo got the nod for the starting job in lieu of Fajardo, whose complete MRI results will be read on Monday.

 

Team manager  Gee Abanilla said Fajardo's anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament are intact according to their team doctors.
