Bono, Vigil star as SMB rules leg 6 of PBA 3x3 second conference

The duo of Ken Bono and Louie Vigil stepped up big time as the San Miguel Beermen ruled the Leg 6 of PBA 3x3 second conference with a 21-17 mastery of Pioneer Pro Tibay on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Beermen had to hurdle some heavyweight teams en route to the finals as they first edged Cavitex Braves in the knockout game, 21-17, before running away with a tight 21-20 victory against Meralco Bolts 3x3 in the quarterfinals.

SMB then picked up a 21-20 win over TNT Tropang Giga in their semifinal clash before meeting Pioneer in the final round.

Bono tallied 10 points against Pioneer while Vigil contributed five as SMB bagged their second title in the second conference after it ruled Leg 2 last March.

SMB will take home a total of P100,000 while Pioneer will bag P50,000. Purefoods TJ Titans, who outdueled TNT in the battle for third, will receive P30,000.
