Mothers Angelica Yulo, Rovelyn Baterbonia meet up

Two mothers of athletes got to meet each other as Angelica Yulo and Rovelyn Baterbonia took some time over the weekend to share a meal.

Rovelyn and Angelica posted photos of their recent encounter with the latter saying, “FINALLY!!!”.

Angelica is the mother of two-time Olympic champion and two-time Asian Games gold medalist Carlos Yulo. She made headlines when a rift was revealed between her and her athlete son due to finances in 2024.

Rovelyn, meanwhile, is the mother of the late basketball player Rene Baterbonia, who along with Ateneo de Manila University teammate Divine Adili, died on June 8 during a team-building incident.

In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Rovelyn recently clarified the rumors about events surrounding and following her son’s death, including her feelings towards his teammates and about the sale of memorabilia.
