SEA Games: Sailing gives PHL 26th gold

The Philippines notched its 26th gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games courtesy of sailing on Sunday in Singapore.

Ridgely Balladares, Rommel Chavez, and Richly Magsanay topped the male match racing keelboat competition with only two other contenders, Singapore and Thailand.

They bested Stanley Chan, Anthony Kiong, and Colin Ng of the host country in the final race to bag the gold.

The medal was the first gold for the country in sailing in the 2015 SEA Games, as the Philippines settled for silvers in the male 470 and the male fleet racing keelboat. - RAF, GMA News
