Alex Eala joins Joao Fonseca, Iva Jovic, Learner Tien in US Open exhibition

Alexandra "Alex" Eala has been named, alongside Iva Jovic, Joao Fonseca, and Learner Tien, to participate in the "Stars of the Open" exhibition event at the upcoming US Open.

The US Open announced the lineup on Friday, with the event set to take place as part of US Open Fan Week.

Jovic is ranked world No. 17, while Brazilian Joao Fonseca is ATP world No. 27. Learner Tien, meanwhile, is ranked ATP world No. 18.

The exhibition will feature some of the sport's top young talents, with proceeds benefiting the USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association, which supports the growth of tennis, particularly in under-resourced communities.

By virtue of being among the world's top 100 players, Eala is expected to compete in the US Open this August.
