Fil-Am Andre Ilagan gets wildcard invite for US Open qualifiers

Filipino-American tennis player Andre Ilagan received a wildcard invite to compete in the qualifying draw of the US Open.

The University of Hawaii, where Ilagan played college tennis, confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Representing the United States, the 25-year-old Ilagan is a left-handed player currently ranked No. 210 in the ATP rankings.

Ilagan is coming off back-to-back finals appearances, reaching the championship match of the Brownsburg ATP Challenger 75 and Lexington Challenger 75, but falling short in both tournaments.

He previously won the ITF M15 Bali in 2024, as well as the ITF M15 Hua Hin and ITF M15 Lakewood in 2023.
