Alex Eala, Felix Auger-Aliassime get wildcard spot in US Open mixed doubles main draw

Alexandra “Alex” Eala and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime are among the wildcard entries in the US Open mixed doubles main draw.

Eala and Auger-Aliassime are among the wildcard pairs, which include Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, Leylah Fernandez and Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Townsend and Alexander Zverev, and Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils.

Those with direct entries include Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic, Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz, Diana Shnaider and Daniil Medvedev, Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli, and Amanda Anisimova and Learner Tien.

Three more wildcard pairs and two more pairs from the qualifiers will join the main draw, which will run from August 25 to 26.

Aside from the singles and mixed doubles events, Eala is also part of the Stars of the Open exhibition event.

Eala is coming off a Round of 32 exit against Amanda Anisimova in the Cincinnati Open.
