Former Ateneo star Brian Castro joins Fragolad Kagoshima in Japan SV.League
The Filipino representation in the Japan SV. League just got a boost with Brian Castro becoming the latest Pinoy import to bring his act to the top-flight league.
Castro, who previously starred for Ateneo de Manila University in the UAAP, has signed with Fragolad Kagoshima and will join an elite group of Filipinos who have played in Japan that includes Bryan Bagunas, Marck Espejo, Jaja Santiago, Jia De Guzman, and Maddie Madayag.
The rising middle blocker will also be part of Fragolad Kagoshima's pioneering SV.League squad after the club secured promotion last April.
Castro played two seasons for the Blue Eagles, helping the school finish fifth in Season 87 before playing a key role in their Season 88 resurgence and return to the Final Four.
