Alas Pilipinas Girls fall to Japan in FIVB U17 Worlds, face Venezuela in classification match

The Alas Pilipinas Girls fell to Japan, 25-23, 25-19, 25-16, in the classification round of the FIVB U17 World Championship on Friday (Saturday, Philippine time) in Chile.

Caera Celis led the national team with 16 points on 12 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, while Xyz Rayco added seven points.

Miko Takahashi led Japan with 15 points, while Reina Nakagawa contributed 10.

The Philippines will next face Venezuela in the classification round for 13th to 16th place.
