Uncharted: The Lost Legacy gets new trailer, release date

Developer Naughty Dog has just announced the release date for the eagerly anticipated “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.”

The standalone expansion to Naughty Dog’s phenomenal “Uncharted 4” will launch this August 22 in North America, and August 23 in the UK. It will cost $39.99 USD.

Naughty Dog also released a new trailer, which focuses on the game’s protagonist, Chloe Frazer, and her unlikely ally Nadine Ross.

Chloe is the half-Indian treasure hunter who originally appeared in 2008’s “Uncharted 2.” In “The Lost Legacy,” she teams up with Nadine, the mercenary who kicked Nathan Drake’s posterior in “Uncharted 4.” Apparently Nathan Drake, the series hero, won’t feature in the expansion in any capacity.

As you can see in the video, Chloe’s quest revolves around the mythical Tusk of Ganesh, and will take her to India.

Naughty Dog added that pre-ordering the game on the PlayStation Store will award you with a special theme created by the artist Truant Pixel, while pre-ordering the game at certain retailers will grant you a digital copy of a special bundle called “Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy,” which includes the “Jak and Daxter” series’ four games. The first three games in the series were developed for the PlayStation 2 by Naughty Dog in the early 2000s.

Those who own any of the special editions of “Uncharted 4” – which include the Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or Triple Pack – will be able to digitally download “The Lost Legacy” on the day of its release.
