Number coding still in effect in Makati, Wednesday - MMDA
Though motorists mostly need not worry about Metro Manila's number coding scheme as it was lifted for the Holy Week, vehicles whose plate numbers end in 5 and 6 may have to steer clear of Makati City from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as the scheme is still in effect in the city on Wednesday. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Wednesday reminded motorists the number coding is lifted for all areas in Metro Manila except Makati City.
Under the number coding scheme, motorists are barred from major thoroughfares in Metro Manila from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on certain days depending on the last digit of their license plate numbers. Vehicles whose plate numbers end in 1 and 2 are banned on Mondays; 3 and 4 on Tuesdays; 5 and 6 on Wednesdays; 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays. — DVM, GMA NewsREMINDER: Number Coding is lifted todayMarch 27 to April 1 (WHOLE METRO MANILA) except MAKATI.
