No number-coding scheme in Pasig City on Wednesday
Motorists with vehicles whose plate numbers end in five and six may get a pass from the number coding scheme on Wednesday, so long as they travel in Pasig City.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority lifting the number coding scheme for the day in Pasig City, which is marking will be marking its foundation day on July 2.
However, motorists will still have to take alternate routes in the city on Wednesday if they are passing through some major roads.
The MMDA said the city will mark Araw ng Pasig with a 7 a.m. parade on C. Raymundo Avenue from the corner of Mercedez Avenue to that of Stella Maris Street. Traffic may be affected along:
- Caruncho Ave. (eastbound)
- M.H. del Pilar St. (Brgy. San Nicolas)
- Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. (Brgy. Kapasigan)
- Rotonda Junction
- A. Mabini St. (Brgy. Kapasigan)
- Plaza Rizal Intersection
- C. Raymundo Ave. (both directions) from Mercedez Ave. up to Stella Maris St.
- P. Burgos St.
- Dr. Garcia St.
- R. Jabson St.
- Mercedez Ave. (both directions) from Market Ave. up to C. Raymundo Ave.
Alternate routes include:
- From Rotonda going to Pasig Mega Market: take C-5 road then right to Eagle St., right to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave., left to Stella Maris St., left to C. Raymundo Ave., right to F. Legaspi St., right to Market Ave., to destination.
- From Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. (Maybunga and Rosario) going to Rotonda: take Eagle St., then right to C-5 Road, U-turn at IPI, to destination.
- From San Joaquin going to Pasig Mega Market: Take Elisco Road, left to M. Jimenez St., left to F. Antonio St., right to F. Manalo St., to destination; take R. Jabson St., right to G. Raymundo St., left to F. Manalo St., to destination.
- From Pasig Mega Market going to Rotonda: Take F. Manalo St., left to Angeles St., left to C. Raymundo Ave., to destination; take Market Ave., left to Mercedez Ave., left to C. Raymundo Ave., to destination.
- From Pasig Mega Market going to San Joaquin: Take Balderrama St., right to F. Antonio St., left to Pio Alvarez St., right to Elisco Road to destination. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
