MMDA: Number coding scheme to resume Thursday

With Typhoon Glenda (Rammasun) now gone from Metro Manila, the number coding scheme in the metropolis will resume on Thursday.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced this in a post on its Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.

The number coding scheme was lifted Wednesday due to Glenda, which battered the metropolis with strong winds and heavy rain.

Under the number coding scheme, vehicles are banned from passing through major roads, depending on the last digits on their license plates.

Covered by the number coding are vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 on Mondays; 3 and 4 on Tuesdays; 5 and 6 on Wednesdays; 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays. — Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
