Witness claims gun-toting cop in Pasay provoked

A witness has claimed that the gun-toting policeman in Pasay City was provoked by the complainants, who posted a video of the confrontation on social media.

According to a 24 Oras report, the witness narrated that the young complainants shouted at the wife of Police Officer 2 Manuel Taytayon, prompting the cop to confront them.

It was unclear, however, why the complainants shouted at the policeman's wife.

The witness also dismissed the claims of the complainants that Taytayon pointed his gun at them.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde has ordered the relief of Taytayon.

Albayalde also ordered an investigation against the complainants. —Anna Felicia Bajo/ALG, GMA News
