Owner of vehicle linked to alleged Pasay kidnapping set to surface to police
The owner of one of the two vehicles linked to the alleged kidnapping of nine youths in Pasay City will face the police on Wednesday, according to a report of Mao dela Cruz on Dobol B sa News TV.
After the review of CCTV footage, Pasay City Police chief Colonel Bernard Yang said they have identified the owner of the Hi-Ace van that was allegedly used to kidnap the missing persons.
According to Yang, the owner was scheduled to report to his office on Wednesday to submit documents related to the vehicle.
Recorded past 6:00 p.m. on Friday, the footage showed a van parked in Villaruel Street where four men alighted and trooped in a corner. One of them was smoking while waiting for someone.
Few minutes later, two men wearing caps came holding 22-year old Sebastian Montoya on his shoulders and then shoving him inside the vehicle. The van left and veered to Leveriza Street.
Sebastian is one of the nine missing youths, whose ages range from 15 to 22 years old.
His family said the police told them that authorities have identified the plate number of the van. They found out that the plate number belongs to a Toyota Vios.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano on Monday ordered the police to look into reports of abductions in the city that are circulating around social media.
Rumors are spreading in social media that some youths have been abducted within the vicinity of Pasay Rotonda.
Yang encouraged the families of the missing persons to officially report these incidents to the police. According to Yang, out of the nine rumored missing, five families have officially reported their disappearance to the police.
