Dialysis services at Pasig City Gen. Hospital affected by last week’s fire —Vico Sotto
Dialysis services at the Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) have been affected by the five-hour fire that hit part of the hospital last week, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said Monday.
In a livestreamed announcement on Facebook, the mayor said that over P28 million worth of supplies were damaged in the fire that hit the fourth floor of a PCGH building.
"Medyo maraming natamaan na supplies, okay na yun kaysa equipment. Magkakaroon ng delays, magkakaroon ng problema sa serbisyong pangkalusugan natin gaya ng dialysis. Malaki-laki ang sunog; matagal-tagal din bago nag-under control at nag-fire out," he pointed out.
[A lot of supplies were affected, but better those than the equipment. There will be delays and issues with some health services such as dialysis. The fire was big and it took some time to extinguish it.]
Nonetheless, Sotto said they will "do their best" to repair the building as well as replace the supplies.
Last Wednesday, patients of PCGH were forced to move to other parts of the hospital while firefighters battled the blaze. There were no casualties reported in the fire. — Consuelo Marquez/BM, GMA News
