2 dead in QC shooting by motorcycle gunmen
The two victims in the daylight shooting incident along Timog Avenue in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon have died, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Randy Silvio and a "Saksi" report confirmed.
The two occupants of a white car were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center after two men aboard a motorcycle blocked them and repeatedly fired at them.
The driver was found by responding police near the center island, while the passenger was inside the car.
Police found 12 bullet holes in the windshield and the car's body, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Zachary Capellan of the QCPD Station 10.
Authorities have yet to determine the relationship between the victims.
Authorities are conducting a manhunt for the suspects, with CCTV footage now being reviewed. Police are also coordinating with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
The QCPD said it is investigating the incident, which occurred about 300 meters from its headquarters.
