Fire hits residential area in Payatas, Quezon City
A fire broke out in a residential area along Ilang Ilang Street, Barangay Payatas, Quezon City on Thursday, the Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said.
Authorities said several houses, including those with small stores and eateries, were affected by the blaze, Super Radyo dzBB’s Isa Avendaño-Umali reported.

Firefighters have entered narrow sections of the community to contain the flames, while some residents are also helping to put out the fire.
Explosions were also reported, which responders and residents suspected were caused by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks.
Police personnel were deployed to secure the area and prevent children from getting too close as firefighting operations continue.
According to the BFP-NCR, the fire was reported at 1:13 p.m. and reached the third alarm at 1:32 p.m.
The fire was declared out at 3:06 p.m.
Authorities have yet to provide information on the possible casualties, cost of damage, as well as the cause of the fire as of the time this story was published. —Joviland Rita/RF, GMA News
