Fire hits NIA road in QC anew

A fire broke out anew in a residential neighborhood on NIA Road, Barangay Pinyahan in Quezon City on early Thursday, April 30.

The blaze reached the third alarm as of 1:22 a.m. before it was put out at 1:57 a.m., according to GMA News' James Agustin.

The fire razed at least 15 houses.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said it is investigating the cause of the fire, which originated from a house that was partly burned during the blaze last month.

The latest incident came after a fire occurred near the same area on March 6.

Up to 4,000 families reportedly lost their homes, and one person died of a heart attack in the March fire.—LDF, GMA News
