MMDA suspends number coding scheme on Aug. 14, 2026 due to Habagat

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday suspended the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme in Metro Manila effective 10:30 a.m. Friday.

In an update, the MMDA said the move was due to the continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

The MMDA advised motorists to plan their trips, exercise caution while driving, and stay updated on important information regarding weather conditions.
