Duterte reminds gov’t offices not to display his photos
President Rodrigo Duterte has reminded government workers not to display his photos in their offices.
“Kayong mga writers, kindly remind itong… not to display my picture... Hindi kami iyong heroes,” he said in a speech at the Christmas party he hosted for the media covering the Malacañang beat.
Although he did not mention it, Duterte made the reminder a day after the Department of Labor and Employment issued the OFW ID card or the iDOLE that included a photo of the President. The move drew the reaction of netizens, who expressed their disappointment over the ID design.

"Ung mukha ng owner black and white, ung mukha ni PRRD colored, Ung mukha ng owner maliit Ung mukha ni PRRD mas malaki," said Jorwin Villanueva Carmona of Saudi Arabia, reacting to Uson's post.
"Ayaw ng pangulo ng ganyan epal style ok na ung kamaong du30," said Alfred Pili.
In September, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed Memorandum Circular No. 25 urging government offices to display photos of Philippine heroes instead of pictures of the President and other officials. This was in fulfillment of Duterte's pronouncement in July. — BAP, GMA News
