LTFRB suspends entire Dimple Star fleet following deadly accident
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday suspended the entire fleet of Dimple Star Transport following Tuesday's accident in Occidental Mindoro that killed 19 people.
The 30-day preventive suspension will cover 118 units and 10 routes, according to the LTFRB's seven-page order.

The affected routes are Iloilo City to Cubao, Quezon City; Iloilo City to Parañaque City; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro to Sampaloc, Manila; Manila to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Dumaguete, Negros Oriental to Cubao, Quezon City; Caticlan, Ilo Ilo Market, Market to Cubao, Quezon City; and Romblon to Cubao, Quezon City.
Furthermore, the LTFRB tasked the Highway Patrol Group to apprehend Dimple Star buses that will be seen on the roads after the order, according to a report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB.

A total of 19 people were killed while 21 were injured after a Dimple Star bus with plate number TYU 708 fell off a cliff in Barangay Batong Buhay, Sablayan town on Tuesday night.
An inspection conducted after the accident revealed some of the buses were not road-worthy.
The LTFRB ordered the company to surrender the license plates of all of its units covered by the suspension order.
