PNP chief Cascolan reassigns 7 senior officials
The chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday has ordered the reassignment of seven senior officials in the agency.
According to the PNP, the move was prompted by the retirement of several senior officials.
Under a special order, PNP Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan has designated Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Olay to lead the PNP Health Service. He was replaced by Police Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega as the Deputy Director for Comptrollership.
Police Brigadier General Herminio Tadeo Jr. was reassigned to be the Deputy Director for Information and Communication Technology Management (DICTM) while Police Brigadier General Rex Dela Rosa was moved as head of the PNP Finance Service.
Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Daniel Mayoni was assigned as the new Deputy Director of the Directorate for Police and Community relations. He was formerly assigned to the DICTM.
Police Colonel Arthur Cabalona was designated as the Acting Executive Officer and Police Colonel Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. was named Acting Executive Officer of the Directorate for Research and Development.
Cascolan formally took over the leadership of the PNP on Wednesday, replacing retired Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa.
On Friday morning, the new PNP chief said that he would not enforce a major reorganization under his leadership. -- Joahna Lei Casilao/BAP, GMA News
