Resumption of SC oral arguments on petitions vs. anti-terror law

The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday resumed the oral arguments on the petitions seeking to nullify the anti-terror law after a one-week break.

The justices will continue the interpellation of the petitioners before moving to the presentation of positions of the amici curiae as well as the arguments of the government.

Last week’s session was canceled after some of the justices went into quarantine as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

A total of 37 petitions were filed assailing the anti-terror measure, making it one of the most challenged Philippine laws. The law took effect last July. —Virgil Lopez/KBK, GMA News
