TikTok user in alleged kill plot vs. Bongbong Marcos identified —PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said the TikTok user linked to an alleged assasination plot against presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has been identified.

In a press conference, PNP chief Police General Dionardo Carlos said the investigation on the matter is still ongoing.

“Identified na po ‘yung gumamit ng TikTok (The user of the Tiktok account has been identified already),” he said.

Authorities are conducting continuous tracking of digital trails for the identification of the Tiktor user, the PNP chief said.

If enough evidence is gathered, Carlos said authorities will file charges against the TikTok user and serve a warrant of arrest.

Carlos said he instructed the PNP’s Anti-Cybercrime Group to keep on tracking the digital trail of the TikTok user.

Earlier, the Department of Justice said that its Office of Cybercrime (OOC) received an online tip about an alleged kill plot against Marcos Jr.

Marcos' camp said that the OOC pushed through with the investigation after receiving a TikTok post that read, "WE ARE meeting everyday to plan for BBM’s assassination. Get ready." —KG, GMA News
