Willie Ong concedes, hopes Marcos-Duterte admin will be successful, good

Dr. Willie Ong, the running mate of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, on Wednesday expressed hope that the administration of former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao Mayor Sara Duterte will be successful and good.

Similar to Moreno, Ong ranked fourth among candidates with a total of 1,860,096 votes based on partial and unofficial results from the Comelec Transparency Server as of 4:17 p.m. Wednesday.

“Sana po maging maganda at matagumpay ang inyong panunungkulan sa anim na taon. I’m sure alam niyo naman na maraming umaasa, lalo na ‘yung mga kababayan nating naghihirap, na mas gaganda ang kanilang buhay,” he said in a Facebook live.

[I hope that your administration will be successful in the next six years. I'm sure you know that many are hoping, especially those living in poor conditions, for better lives.]

“Sana maging matahimik na ang ating bayan at magsama-sama na tayo at magtuloy na kung saan man tayo patungo para mas umunlad ang ating bayan,” he added.

[I hope that our country will have peace, we can unite and move forward where there will be progress for our country.]

He also congratulated Marcos and Duterte who have garnered a total of 31,087,850 votes and 31,543,271 votes as of posting time, respectively, also based on partial and unofficial votes as of 4:17 p.m. Wednesday.

Ong, meanwhile, said he will return to helping the Filipino people as a doctor.

“Ako naman po, balik lang tayo sa ating dating medical mission at pagtulong at ayuda sa ating kababayan. Lagi lang naman tayong nandito. Tutulong tayo sa abot ng ating makakaya,” he said.

[I will return to doing medical mission, helping and giving aid to our countrymen. I am always here. I will help in whatever way I can.]
