Over 63k pass licensure exam for professional teachers, says PRC

There are at least 63,377 new elementary and secondary level teachers who passed the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

The PRC announced that 18,376 elementary teachers out of 32,796 examinees or 56.03% while 45,001 secondary teachers out of 61,561 examinees or 73.10% successfully hurdled the examination.

The examination given last March 15, 2026 in 41 testing centers all over the Philippines.

The PRC also announced that out of the 18,376 elementary teacher passers, 15,670 are first timers and 2,706 are repeaters.

For the secondary teachers, 39,446 passers are first timers and 5,555 are repeaters.

The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced in a later date.
