Lawyer Gaby Concepcion named as NACC executive director

Lawyer and “Unang Hirit” segment host Maria Gabriela “Gaby” Concepcion has been named as executive director of the National Authority for Child Care (NACC), an attached agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

In a Facebook post, the NACC welcomed Concepcion’s appointment as Executive Director V of the NACC, with the rank of undersecretary.

Concepcion is a lawyer, educator, public servant, and television host of “Ask Atty. Gaby” on “Unang Hirit.” She is also a board member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

The NACC said she brings with her “a diverse background in law, governance, communications, and public service.”

“As we continue advancing legal adoption and alternative child care, we are honored to have her join us in championing the welfare and best interests of every Filipino child,” the agency added.

An attached agency of the DSWD, the NACC is a quasi-judicial agency with exclusive and original jurisdiction on all matters pertaining to domestic administrative adoption, inter-country adoption, foster care, and other forms of alternative child care. — JMA, GMA News
