Palace: BOC collects P406.3B in Jan-May 2026, exceeds target by P9.3B
Malacañang on Monday said the Bureau of Customs (BOC) has collected P406.3 billion in the first five months of 2026, exceeding its target by P9.3 billion.
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro announced this in a press briefing on Monday.
(Under the leadership of Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, the BOC did not just meet but exceeded its target collection this year.)
According to the BOC, collections from January to May 2026 surpassed its P397-billion target by 2.3 percent.
This also represents an increase of P24.6 billion, or 6.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.
Castro said the P9.3-billion surplus will help fund the government’s priority programs and projects.
