Marcos declares special non-working days in 19 areas for June 2026
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in 19 areas of the country for the month of June.
Through Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, proclamations were issued for the special non-working days in one province, four cities, and 14 municipalities, his office announced in an advisory on Saturday.
By virtue of Proclamation No. 1293, the City of Angeles will mark the anniversary of the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo on June 15.
Also on June 15, the municipality of Buguey in the Province of Cagayan will be celebrating its 430th Founding Anniversary by virtue of Proclamation No. 1294.
On June 16, the municipality of Dumalinao in Zamboanga del Sur will be celebrating its 70th Founding Anniversary through Proclamation No. 1295.
The municipality of Pamplona in Negros Oriental will be celebrating also on June 16 its 76th Founding Anniversary, by virtue of Proclamation No. 1296.
The municipality of Pili in Camarines Sur will also be celebrating its 71th Founding Anniversary on June 16, through Proclamation No. 1297.
Likewise, the municipality of La Trinidad in the province of Benguet is set to celebrate on June 16 its Founding Anniversary through Proclamation No. 1298.
By virtue of Proclamation No. 1299, the City of Iligan will be celebrating its 76th Charter Anniversary, also on June 16.
The Municipality of Molave in Zamboanga del Sur, also on June 16, will be celebrating it 78th Founding Anniversary, by Proclamation No. 1300.
Also on June 16, the municipality of San Miguel, in the province of Surigao del Sur will celebrate the Araw ng San Miguel through Proclamation No. 1301.
Through Proclamation No. 1302, the municipality of Bindoy in Negros Oriental was placed in a special non-working day to celebrate its Charter Anniversary on June 17.
On June 18, the municipality of Barlig in Mountain Province will be celebrating its 60th Founding Anniversary through Proclamation No. 1303.
Through Proclamation No. 1304, the City of Lipa in Batangas is set to celebrate its 79th Cityhood Anniversary on June 20.
Likewise, on June 20, the municipality of Guinayangan in the province of Quezon will be observing its Founding Anniversary via Proclamation No. 1305.
On June 22, the municipality of Socorro in the province of Oriental Mindoro will be celebrating its Founding Anniversary through Proclamation No. 1306.
By virtue of Proclamation No. 1307, the City of Batac in the province of Ilocos Norte will be celebrating its 19th Charter Anniversary on June 23.
On June 24, the province of Masbate, by virtue of Proclamation No. 1308, will be celebrating the Bagat-Dagat Festival.
Through Proclamation No. 1309, the municipality of Caba in the province of La Union will be celebrating its Founding Anniversary, also on June 24.
On June 25, the municipality of Calanasan, Province of Apayao is set to celebrate its Founding Anniversary by virtue of Proclamation No. 1310.
Likewise on June 25, the municipality of Sabangan, Mountain Province will celebrate its Founding Anniversary by Proclamation No. 1311. —VAL, GMA News
