Palace: July 1, 2026 a local holiday in 6 areas in Visayas, Mindanao

Malacañang has declared July 1, 2026 as a local holiday in six areas in Visayas and Mindanao to celebrate founding and charter anniversaries.

The proclamations were signed on June 10 by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto as authorized by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and published on the Official Gazette website.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people… be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the issuances read.

The special non-working days for Wednesday, July 1, 2026 are:

  • Proclamation 1312 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in Maramag, Bukidnon for its 70th founding anniversary,
  • Proclamation 1313 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental for its charter anniversary,
  • Proclamation 1314 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in in Pangantucan, Bukidnon for its founding anniversary,
  • Proclamation 1315 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental for its founding anniversary,
  • Proclamation 1316 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in Kibawe, Bukidnon for its founding anniversary, and
  • Proclamation 1317 declaring July 1 as a special non-working day in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte for its founding anniversary.
