Palace declares local holidays for June
Malacañang has declared special non-working days in several municipalities, cities, and provinces this month to allow residents to participate in the celebration of local events.
Under Proclamation No. 1273, June 3 was designated a special non-working day in the municipality of Ayungon, Negros Oriental for the celebration of its 102nd township anniversary.
Santa Cruz, Laguna will have a special non-working day on June 4 for its Kesong Puti Festival.
Similarly, the province of Zamboanga del Norte will have a special non-working day for the celebration of its 74th founding anniversary on June 6.
June 9 is also a special non-working day for the municipality of Rosario, Batangas for its founding anniversary, while June 15 is a special non-working day for the province of Pampanga for its 35th anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
Proclamation No. 1276 also declared June 17 a special non-working day in Lapu-Lapu City for its 65th charter anniversary.
Malacañang also declared June 18 as special non-working days in six municipalities: Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya; Kalilangan, Bukidnon; Carmen, Davao del Norte; Presentacion, Camarines Sur; Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro; and San Fernando, Bukidnon.
Under Proclamation No. 1278, June 19 was designated a special non-working day in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, for its charter anniversary, while Proclamation No. 1259 declared June 23 a special non-working day in Tabuk City, Kalinga for its founding anniversary.
June 24 is also a special non-working day in the municipality of Tiaong, Quezon for the celebration of its town fiesta. — JMA, GMA News
