Who is Jose Pujalte Jr, the new DOH secretary
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday appointed Dr. Jose Pujalte Jr. as the new Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH).
Pujalte's appointment came after the resignation of Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa, who has been on sick leave for a knee replacement surgery before stepping down from his position.
Who is the newly appointed Health secretary?
Pujalte has been working in the DOH since 1991.
He was appointed medical center chief II of the Philippine Orthopedic Center in 2014.
Pujalte obtained his masters in hospital administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
He earned his doctor of medicine at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine.
Pujalte also served as president of the Philippine Orthopedic Association and the ASEAN Orthopedic Association.
He is also the founding president of the Philippine Shoulder Society and founding member of the Philippine Spine Society. — RSJ, GMA News
