President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s net satisfaction rating improved in June, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, although it remained a negative score.

Results of the Social Weather Report released Monday showed Marcos' net satisfaction score rose to -7 in June 2026 from -15 in March 2026.

The survey found that 46% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the President's performance, 39% were dissatisfied, and 15% were undecided, resulting in the net satisfaction rating of -7, classified by SWS as "neutral."

Compared with the March survey, satisfaction with the President increased while dissatisfaction declined, contributing to the improvement in his overall rating.

The Second Quarter 2026 SWS was conducted from June 20 to 29, 2026, using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon (or Luzon outside Metro Manila), the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The sampling error margins are ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The survey was non-commissioned

Up in all areas

According to SWS, as of June 2026, Marcos’ net satisfaction rating was highest in Balance Luzon at moderate +11, followed by the Visayas at neutral -3, Metro Manila at poor -24, and Mindanao at bad -35.

Compared to March 2026, net satisfaction with President Marcos rose in all areas: it rose by 9 points from neutral +2 in Balance Luzon, by 12 points from poor -15 in the Visayas, by 7 points from bad -31 in Metro Manila, and by 5 points from bad -40 in Mindanao, SWS added.

"Compared to March 2026, President Marcos’ net satisfaction rating rose by 7 points from neutral -9 to neutral -2 in rural areas, and by 8 points from poor -20 to poor -12 in urban areas," SWS said.

"Compared to March 2026, net satisfaction with President Marcos rose from poor to neutral among women, up by 8 points from -15 to -7, and among men, up by 9 points from -16 to -7.

The June 2026 survey also asked, “Sa inyo pong palagay, si PANGULONG FERDINAND MARCOS, JR. po ba ay napagsisilbihan ang interes ng mga MAYAYAMAN, KALAGITNAANG ANTAS NG LIPUNAN, o ang mga MAHIHIRAP? [Do you think PRESIDENT FERDINAND MARCOS, JR. is serving the interests of the RICH, the MIDDLE CLASS, or the POOR?]"

To this, SWS said 43% said Marcos is serving the interests of the rich, 35% said he is serving the interests of the poor, and 25% said he is serving the interests of the middle class

The percentage of those who said Marcos is serving the interests of the rich hardly changed from 42% in November 2025, following a steady increase from 23% in December 2022 to 31% in March 2023 and September 2024. —LDF, GMA News
