School-related incidents involving children from 2022 to 2025

Calls for stricter school safety measures and greater protection for children have once again resurfaced following the recent shooting at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, where two students were killed, including the alleged shooter.

Before the incident, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Women and Children Protection Center recorded a total of 1,275 school-related incidents involving Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) from 2022 to 2025, according to data obtained by GMA News Research.

Here are the top offenses recorded in each year:
